Launch into a Discord Activity with friends to embroil yourself in an unprecedented narrative RPG experience. Overcome challenges, gain powerful techniques, and vanquish powerful enemies, all by talking back and forth directly with our AI moderator. He sets the scene, creates encounters, and ultimately decides your fates!
A live ops social gaming platform that lives on Discord as an interactive bot where AI moderates game sessions. Our current prototype enables open-ended multiplayer gameplay while maintaining session coherency. We’re currently deep in the process of iterating and conducting playtests.
Once we’ve added some structure to enable events, repeatable game loops, and player character persistence, adventure-bot will evolve into a distribution channel by which to deliver episodic content of pre-written narrative arcs akin to D&D adventure modules. The AI will enable creative and improvisational play, while our main gameplay systems will enable players to meaningfully develop characters and capabilities across sessions. Characters will be portable across servers and across games, enabling crossover and exploration into other genres and product SKU’s.
Post-launch, we will look to take the project onto other chat platforms, like WhatsApp and FB Messenger. The long play will be recognizing and taking advantage of the unique opportunities that arise from being deeply embedded within private Discords and group chats. Interacting with small friend groups over time will give us superpowers, such as enabling us to deliver perfectly-tailored generative content to each group, or to use the bot as a promotional channel for the sort of content that truly appeals to our players.
